Dear Stamford Voter:

Next week marks a critical turning point. After 14 years, Stamford will have a new mayor and decisions will be made that will affect this city’s future growth and direction. Over the past few months, I’ve crisscrossed Stamford in an effort to explain to voters why I’m the right person to become their mayor. It has been an exhilarating experience because I have found in so many residents the same love for and pride in this great city as I have, and the collective desire to make Stamford an even better place to live and work.

If you are still an undecided voter, I offer these Web pages as a way of getting to learn more about me, what I stand for, and my views on some of the challenges we face in the current economy.

  • The About David page highlights my background and credentials, and describes my approach to getting things done.
  • The Proven Leadership page lists some of my accomplishments while serving on the Board of Representatives and as its president. Just click on an accomplishment to learn more.
  • The My Vision page outlines my goals and objectives for leading Stamford into the future.
  • The Endorsements section contains some notable letters of endorsement and a list of people and organizations supporting me.
  • The FAQ page contains my answers to 10 questions about Stamford’s governance and growth that I was asked to provide for The Advocate’s Voter’s Guide 2009.

Thank you for making an informed decision. I hope what you read will convince you that I deserve your vote on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3rd.

Sincerely,

David Martin
